They formulate and manufacture hundreds of high-quality specialty chemicals for the oil & gas, energy, mining, industrial, municipal, and agricultural sectors.

Position Overview

Reporting to the VP – Sales and North American Operations, the Sales Manager is responsible for managing the Sales department, maintaining and growing the Company business portfolio through new and existing customers. The Sales Manager ensures the sales team operates under a shared vision, working closely as a cohesive unit, collaborating and sharing best practices on the path to executing industry leading growth plans.

  • To ensure all required training is up-to-date and maintained through Workhub
  • To ensure compliance to all corporate and departmental policies which includes ensuring all required policy acknowledgments are up-to-date and maintained through Workhub
  • Effectively supporting all quality management system and safety program requirements to ensure compliance with all standards, codes, or requirements in which the company is accredited, certified, or recognized by an outside body. This also includes effectively supporting standards, codes, or requirements in which the company is pursuing accreditation, certification and/or recognition by an outside body
Market & Business Development
  • Embraces company vision and direction
  • Aids in the generation of business development initiatives and execution strategies
  • Understanding of the diverse market the Company operates in
  • Understands cost competition and market value of the Company product lines
  • Work with the Account Managers to develop Sales Strategies based on customer requirements
  • Promotes the Company innovative technical, logistical, and service capabilities
  • Engage in sales reporting systems entry for clarity and communication of sales trends
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Establish long‑term sales contracts whenever possible
Customer Relations
  • Meet and exceed customer needs through collaborative engagement with internal departments and industry partners
  • Set sales forecasts, growth targets and key performance metrics for Sales department
  • Contribution to technical initiatives through customer interface and identifying novel business opportunities
  • Develop multi‑tiered contacts within existing and new customer bases
Leadership and Collaboration
  • Passionate and driven to achieve common goals
  • Recognize and utilize the expertise and experience within the organization
  • Share knowledge within the organization and accept new challenges from current and prospective customer base
  • Keep up to date with industry events, trends, and publications
Communication
  • Populate and maintain the Hubspot CRM tool with all sales meetings and calls
  • Communicate sales progress and potential to the Sales Manager, VP, Sales and North American Operations and CEO
  • Encourage frequent communication with external customers
  • Interface with internal departments to align efforts related to customer growth
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Possesses knowledge of competitive products and markets
  • Min. 5+ years of related industry experience with experience in either direct sales or sales support role
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or technical diploma
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively
