We are currently seeking a Sales Executive - Federal Government to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).

The Sales Executive – Canadian Federal Government will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing large-scale IT services opportunities within assigned Federal Government departments and agencies. This strategic sales role demands deep knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes, existing client relationships, and a proven ability to engage senior government executives to position NTT DATA as a preferred partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on expanding NTT DATA’s presence within the Canadian Federal Government, prioritizing key departments such as Canada Revenue Agency, Canada Border Services Agency, Canadian Security Intelligence Service, Canada Post and others.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned to NTT DATA’s core competencies, including digital transformation, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, data analytics, AI, infrastructure, and managed services.
  • Lead client engagement, relationship management, and stakeholder mapping to ensure NTT DATA is positioned to effectively respond to upcoming procurement opportunities.
  • Coordinate closely with Client Executives, Delivery Executives, and Service Portfolio Leaders to craft compelling and differentiated solutions tailored to Federal Government client needs.
  • Drive complex deal cycles, negotiate contracts, and secure large, multi-year engagements.
  • Achieve annual sales targets.
  • Actively maintain sales pipeline, forecasting and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of enterprise-level IT services and solutions sales experience, with at least 5 years directly focused on Canadian Federal Government clients.
  • Proven track record closing complex, high-value contracts ($5M+ TCV).
  • Deep understanding of Federal Government procurement processes, guidelines, and frameworks.
  • Established network of relationships across key Canadian Federal Government departments and agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of digital transformation, cloud computing, cybersecurity solutions, application modernization and managed IT services.
  • Demonstrated ability meeting and/or exceeding annual quotas of $15 million-TCV.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
