Position Summary

The Sales Engineer should be a technology and solution advisor with pragmatic experience in cybersecurity. The SE will act as a solution consultant, capable of discussing the security landscape, architectural models, and solutions credibly, and possessing the ability to present to senior client stakeholders. The SE owns the technical success in all sales campaigns.

As a GoSecure Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for presenting GoSecure's products to prospective customers, creating and delivering product demonstrations, gathering customer technical requirements, developing evaluation test plans, and managing the evaluation process to a successful conclusion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Work directly with our sales team from initial discovery to deal closure to shorten sales cycles and improve closing rates.
  2. Participate in initial discovery meetings with customers, providing technical overviews and highly technical Proof of Value engagements for both existing customers and new opportunities.
  3. Translate customer challenges into technical solutions, positioning GoSecure to address those challenges.
  4. Serve as a technical expert throughout sales engagements, ensuring tactical motions align with strategic account goals.
  5. Partner with delivery teams (MSS / MDR) to ensure maximum technical effectiveness and a consistent customer experience during the POV process.
  6. Address customer needs through excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  7. Build, manage, and maintain relationships with customers, peers, and partners.
  8. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and MSS teams to enhance effectiveness and efficiency throughout the customer lifecycle.

Requirements and Experience

  • 5+ years of sales engineering or equivalent experience in the cybersecurity industry.
  • Experience developing and presenting technical sales and support materials to technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix system administration, and operating systems.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP addressing, LAN, WAN, DNS, Email, and networking devices such as Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.
  • Familiarity with network security, email systems, and firewalls.
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting networks is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Network Administrator is a plus.
  • Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.) or equivalent knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Some travel may be required.
