Sales Engineer

The incoming Sales Engineer will play a pivotal part in delivering day-to-day solution-based selling across our product lines within the Alberta region. You will collaborate directly with consulting engineers, providing technical support, conducting product demonstrations, and helping to drive the adoption of our solutions in key projects. The ideal candidate combines engineering insight with sales acumen to support the company's goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering consultants and other decision-makers, serving as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Partner with consulting engineers to understand project needs and recommend appropriate products from our portfolio.
  • Provide expert-level product knowledge and ensure alignment with project specifications and performance standards.
  • Support the creation of detailed product specifications and ensure compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for industry professionals and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company’s CRM system.
  • Work closely with the sales team to integrate solutions into project specifications and support both technical and commercial sales goals.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to provide strategic insights and maintain market relevance.
  • Offer continuous technical assistance through design and construction phases, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering would be preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, engineering support, or a related role—preferably within a manufacturing or technical product environment.
  • Strong grasp of engineering principles and product application standards.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to develop and sustain professional relationships with engineers and project influencers.
  • Demonstrated experience in a sales-support or customer-facing role with a focus on solution selling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and CRM platforms.
  • Highly self-motivated, able to work independently, and manage time effectively.
  • Valid DL
