The Sales Business Development, SMB role is vital to our team, driving activities that lead to an efficient division, representing TELUS Health effectively, and supporting our corporate objectives. This position collaborates with teams across Account Management, Marketing, Communications, Operations, Finance, and others to ensure successful campaign and proposal execution.

What You’ll Do
  1. Lead new business development activities to grow market share nationwide via direct sales, broker relationships, distribution partnerships, and strategic alliances.
  2. Sell well-being solutions through direct and broker/consultant channels.
  3. Represent TELUS Health enthusiastically in business presentations, community efforts, and networking activities.
  4. Develop new broker relationships and influence their decision-making processes.
  5. Nurture existing partners to develop long-term relationships.
  6. Manage a strong sales pipeline to meet quota targets.
  7. Develop a direct sales channel using an account-based sales model and cold outreach strategies.
  8. Communicate professionally and confidently, articulating TELUS Health's value proposition and ROI.
  9. Handle the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to negotiation and closing, with a focus on prospecting.
What You Bring
  1. Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. At least 2 years of successful sales experience in business value-driven software solutions, meeting quotas of $500,000+ annually.
  3. Experience in human capital management (HCM) or related industries.
  4. Energetic, trusted, influential relationship builder with attention to detail.
  5. Strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
  6. Proficient in outreach and cold calling.
  7. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  8. Organized, mature, strategic thinker.
  9. Driven, energetic, and skilled in presentation and communication.
  10. Proactive entrepreneurial mindset.
  11. Ability to advocate for channel partners/brokers.
  12. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
  13. Knowledge of EAP, insurance, or group benefits is a plus but not required.
  14. Willingness to travel within assigned regions.
