Job summary

Wine Rack in Ottawa is hiring a Wine Merchant who will deliver exceptional customer service, share wine knowledge through education programs, and contribute to a fun, flexible store environment.

You will handle POS transactions, assist with receiving shipments, merchandising, and engage with the community at events while meeting shift targets; 19+ and Smart Serve required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with POS and cash handling is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong team collaboration and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer experiences at the wine store.

• Perform POS (point of sales transactions) and merchandising tasks, such as receiving shipments and replenishment
• Meet and exceed shift targets
• Participate in community-driven initiatives and festivals.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• 19 years of age or older. High School or equivalent education is required.
• Smart Serve Certification is required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job include lifting up to 21 kilograms, standing, reaching, bending and climbing ladders.

Compensation : $17.85/hr
