Achieves sales and other targets established by business plans. Continuously assesses and improves the work processes for sales and service management, risk management, and compliance within prescribed limits to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. Optimizes opportunities through deal teams and sales calls, maximizing business success. Influences the strategic direction of the line of business assisting with the development, prioritization, and implementation of business, technology, sales, and service, channel optimization, and enhanced customer experience.

  • Provides support for sales activities such as presentations, bids/proposals, and requests for information.
  • Develops an effective external network to support the identification of new and increased investment/lending business opportunities.
  • Retains and expands existing relationships to achieve portfolio retention, sales, service, and profitability objectives.
  • Establishes and enhances the Bank’s brand by participating in meaningful and focused business and community events.
  • Participates in industry forums and conferences to stay informed of industry trends, competitive insights, products, and services.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on market conditions and trends to maintain a high level of environmental awareness.
  • Coordinates cash management product implementation and financial transaction setup.
  • Ensures consistent personnel training throughout the team.
  • Acts as the daily sales contact for clients regarding product information, pricing, implementation timeframes, and requirements.
  • Acts as the key sales contact with clients to gather detailed information necessary to advance the sale, including completing all required documentation.
  • Provides assistance in pre-sales activities such as pitch preparation, client research, and preparing prospect and client files for the Sales Professional Planning team.
  • Tracks implementation requests to ensure timelines are met and billing is accurate.
  • Monitors internal reports and recommends improvements to sales support materials based on findings and feedback.
  • Prepares pre-call and post-call information packages by accessing internal systems and bank personnel to validate client holdings, pricing, and volumes.
  • Provides research and data gathering to facilitate client solutions based on their business needs.
  • Supports sales and service administration to ensure a seamless client experience and meet opportunities.
  • Maintains accurate and current client information in the bank’s systems/files.
  • Primarily focuses on business/groups within BMO, with potential broader enterprise-wide focus.
  • Uses judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within established rules.
  • Works independently on complex tasks, including unique situations.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
    • Technical proficiency through education and/or business experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong collaboration and team skills.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Influence and negotiation skills.
    • Data-driven decision-making ability.

    Salary: $51,800.00 - $96,500.00

    Pay Type: Salaried

    Salary varies based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications, and may include commissions. Part-time roles are pro-rated. The listed salary for commission roles is the target for the first year.
