Job summary

Staples Canada in Winnipeg, MB, CA is seeking a full-time, on-site associate to join our store team. You will deliver exceptional customer service, engage with customers, and drive sales across furniture, technology, and supplies areas.

You will work with store leaders to set sales and margin goals, uphold brand standards, and support merchandising, signage, and safety policies. This role involves POS transactions and helping customers with tailored solutions.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Drive sales in the furniture, technology and supplies areas of the store.
• Set and achieve sales and margin goals with store leaders.
• Ensure operational excellence and uphold store brand standards.
• Support merchandising and signage standards including planograms and stocking.
• Maintain Health & Safety, Asset Protection, and Privacy Policies.
• Engage with and sell to customers using available selling tools to anticipate and meet needs.
• Handle POS transactions, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations or refer to a manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by dusting, front-facing products, and demo units.

• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
