Job summary

Staples in Nanaimo is looking for a motivated team member to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales. Candidates will engage with customers, handle transactions using the POS system, and maintain a clean and safe store environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least three months of prior retail experience and possess strong communication and collaborative skills. Staples offers an associate discount, group RRSP program, and various recognition programs.

Job description

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
