Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in Canada is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver a unique shopping experience with excellent customer service in a fast-paced specialty retail setting.

You will assist with services like gift wrap, gift registry, catalog orders and furniture orders while using effective selling techniques to build multiple sales and maintain up-to-date knowledge of promotions. You will operate the POS system for purchases, returns and exchanges.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service experience in retail or specialty store.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate POS system and handle sales, returns and exchanges.

About the Role

As a Sales Associate you provide customers with a unique shopping experience by offering excellent customer service. Utilize effective selling techniques and provide in-depth product knowledge in a fast-paced, specialty retail environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate POS system.
• Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, (up to 75 lbs.) while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
• 1-2 years customer service experience and retail sales experience (specialty retail preferred, but not required)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business
• Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend** (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday). For an associate to be scheduled 20 hours or more weekly, greater availability (beyond the minimum required above) that meets the needs of the business will be required. **Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday).
