Job description

COBS Bread Shawnessy is growing, and we're looking for a Full-Time Sales Assistant to join our team. We provide a fun work environment, comprehensive training, and excellent opportunities for career advancement. We are seeking the right person who wants to grow with us and potentially move into a management role as an Assistant Sales Manager. Experience in the food service industry is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.

Responsibilities

1. Provide exceptional customer service and build relationships with regular customers
2. Merchandise products and execute marketing campaigns
3. Assist with baking, cleaning, and closing the bakery
4. Work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
5. Maintain cleanliness and assist with production as needed

Requirements

1. Open availability, including evenings and weekends
2. Strong customer service skills and multitasking ability
3. Experience with cash, credit, and debit transactions (preferred)
4. Relevant retail experience (a plus)
5. Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
6. Reliability, self-motivation, and eagerness to learn
7. Team player who enjoys working with people
8. Pride in providing personable customer experiences

Physical Requirements

1. Standing and walking for extended periods
2. Use of hands, forceful gripping, and operating POS systems
3. Lifting up to 7.5 kg regularly, up to 22 kg occasionally
4. Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and crouching as needed
