Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a data-driven Sales and Capacity Planner to bridge Voila Sales/Demand and Operations by optimizing routes, forecasting trends, and managing real-time customer slot availability. You will leverage SQL, Python, and Power BI to automate processes, resolve operational violations, and ensure maximum financial efficiency across a 7-day week.

The shift is Sunday to Wednesday 7am to 5pm EST. You will collaborate with sales, operations, and planning teams to deliver reliable data

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in data analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• SQL and Python proficiency required.
• Tableau or Power BI proficiency required.
• Planning experience in distribution/inbound/outbound is a plus; supply chain exposure is advantageous.

We are seeking a data-driven Sales and Capacity Planner to bridge the gap between Voila Sales/Demand and Operations by optimizing routes, forecasting trends, and managing real-time customer slot availability. You will leverage SQL, Python, and Power BI to automate processes, resolve operational violations, and ensure maximum financial efficiency across a 7-day week.
The shift is Sunday to Wednesday 7am to 5pm EST.

Here’s Where You Will Focus On

• Create mid to short term plan of sales, capacity, and availability;
• Analyze and understand dynamic forecasts to maximize sales, including forecasting key assumptions;
• Perform complex analysis in a specific area of sales and capacity planning;
• Manage day to day sales and capacity planning operations;
• Balance delivery and CFC capacity to maximize efficiency;
• Monitor and react to customer demand and slot availability for customers;
• Interpreting the trends and variances in key reporting in support of decisions that are required to improve financial performance;
• Create and re-create routes, resolve violations (ex. DPV exceeds recommended weight guidelines) and incorporate event considerations;
• Optimize business process and identify opportunities to reduce costs;
• Provide the business relevant, reliable, and timely sales and capacity planning information including Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and appropriate variance analysis;
• Support CFC / spoke planning (secondary sites);
• Provide analytical support to Operational Planning Manager;
• Communicate closely with sales teams, operational teams, and other planning teams;
• Prepare various ad-hoc reporting requests and analytical reports;
• Act as the key contact for emergency capacity planning needs from the CFC;
• Identify and respond to and resolve operational issues in a timely manner;
• Work a rotation between Monday to Sunday for morning and evening shifts;
• Support the preparation of data analysis, insight, and recommendations, as assigned;
• Provide excellent level of customer service to all levels of the business;
• Identify Gaps in existing Processes and provide solutions for improvements;
• Good Technical Skillsets to improve and build on new tools using Advanced Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Azure, Power BI, Microsoft Power Automate etc.
  

What You Have To Offer

• At least 2 years of professional experience in data analytics;
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Commerce or Engineering;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel;
• Proficiency in SQL and Python is required;
• Proficiency in Tableau or PowerBI is required;
• Previous experience in planning is advantageous, including order modeling, forecasting, reforecasting, and integrated planning for distribution inbound/outbound and category planning;
• Experience in Supply Chain is considered an asset.
