Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) is seeking a Sales Agronomist to join our Crop Inputs team in Canada. This role develops new business, strengthens customer relationships, and delivers trusted agronomic recommendations. You will scout fields, perform soil tests, promote P&H products, and collaborate with producers to tailor practical solutions that meet their farming needs.

Travel is required. Ideal candidates hold a valid P.Ag or CCA certification with at least three years’ experience

Qualifications

• Must have strong sales and customer service skills.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with agricultural producers.
• In-depth knowledge of regional crop production and crop protection solutions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Foster and develop strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Scout fields and perform soil testing to assess agronomic needs and recommend solutions.
• Promote P&H products and services and communicate their value to producers.

Your Team

Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

We are seeking a Sales Agronomist to join our Crop Inputs team. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for the location, while strengthening existing customer relationships through a high standard of service and excellent agronomic recommendations.

Day to Day

• Foster and develop strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Scout fields and perform soil testing to assess agronomic needs and recommend appropriate solutions
• Promote P&H products and services, clearly communicating their value and benefits to agricultural producers
• Collaborate with producers to develop practical, tailored solutions that support their business needs
• Negotiate and secure profitable business agreements the assigned location and the broader P&H organization

What You’ll Bring

• Must currently hold a valid Professional Agrologist (P.Ag) or Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) certification
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in working directly with agricultural producers, with demonstrated progression in responsibility
• Proven sales and customer service skills, with a strong ability to execute strategic plans and maximize revenue potential
• In-depth knowledge of regional crop production, along with hands-on experience delivering modern and effective crop protection solutions
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
