Job summary

Strathcona Resources Ltd. in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking an experienced Plant Operator for the Lindbergh SAGD facility. You will work under the Shift Engineer, ensuring safe, efficient plant operations and adherence to HSER policies.

Role requires strong diagnostic abilities, collaboration with maintenance teams, and a commitment to safe, reliable production. Relocation to Cold Lake/Bonnyville area may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires Third-Class ABSA Power Engineering certificate or higher; Second Class preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of SAGD or CSS experience with steam generation.
• Strong understanding of OTSG, water/oil treating, and related process steps.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate in a team environment.
• Proficient in safety practices and HSER compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HSER and regulatory policies.
• Troubleshoot plant issues and implement effective solutions.
• Lead safe operations and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Review and update Operations Procedures as needed.
• Direct response during emergencies and control critical events.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and ensure timely reporting.
