Job summary

Lake Shore Gold, Timmins, ON, is seeking a Safety & Training Manager to join our Timmins Operations on a full-time basis. The role requires relocation to the Timmins area and offers a Monday-Friday schedule with 8-hour days or 4 on, 3 off.

This is an existing vacancy with immediate start potential. You will lead safety and training programs, deliver mine-site training on SOPs, supervise records and budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with Corporate to produce regular safety

Qualifications

10+ years mining experience, preferably underground mining
10+ years in industrial safety and training management
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Foster and promote a positive safety culture across the site
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of site Safety and Training programs
Deliver and support training related to mine site safe operating procedures
Ensure training programs are well-structured and aligned with corporate standards
Develop, manage and monitor the Safety and Training budget
Oversee training compliance for employees, contractors and site requirements
