Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• CRSP designation (or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and coaching skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a proactive safety culture across all departments.
• Oversee the Safety & Health Program, ensuring compliance with Workplace Safety & Health regulations.
• Manage the Plant Protection Department, including first aid attendants and emergency response operations.
• Coordinate safety audits, inspections, and training (First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, etc.).
• Provide leadership in incident investigations, risk management, and corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary contact for fire protection, insurance fire system inspections, and government safety agencies.
• Develop and deliver safety orientations and training for all employees and contractors.
• Support leadership teams with effective communication, reporting, and coaching on safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a proactive safety culture across all departments.


• Oversee CKP's Safety & Health Program, ensuring compliance with all Workplace Safety & Health regulations.


• Manage the Plant Protection Department, including first aid attendants and emergency response operations.


• Coordinate safety audits, inspections, and training (First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, Made Safe, etc.).


• Provide leadership in incident investigations, risk management, and corrective actions.


• Serve as the primary contact for fire protection, insurance fire system inspections, and government safety agencies.


• Develop and deliver safety orientations and training for all employees and contractors.


• Support leadership teams with effective communication, reporting, and coaching on safety practices.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial setting involving safety, health, and loss prevention.


• Supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing or pulp and paper is an asset.


• Strong communication, organizational, and coaching skills.


• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer maintenance management systems (CMMS).
