Our client, a prominent organization in the heavy manufacturing industry located in NORTHERN ONTARIO, has partnered with KEC in the search for a Health and Safety Specialist to support their unionized plant operations. This position is ideal for a proactive and engaging safety professional with 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably within manufacturing, heavy construction, or mining environments.

The successful candidate will thrive in a shop-floor setting, demonstrating a strong boots-on-the-ground presence and a genuine commitment to fostering a positive safety culture and promoting employee engagement. A solid understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation (Green Book) is essential, along with experience conducting audits, inspections, and investigations.

Candidates with certifications such as CRSP, CSP, CMSP, or CHST will be considered strong assets. The role also requires excellent interpersonal skills, a structured and detail-oriented approach, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
