Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of federal OHS & NSC regulations, and best practices applicable to transportation and oilfield environments.
• Experience in safety program development, implementation, and maintenance of safety systems.
• Proficiency in Accident Investigation, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• CRSP/CTSP certification or progress toward such credentials.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, oilfield, or industrial operations.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and travel between sites on occasion.
• Proficiency with standard office and safety management software for reporting and data analysis.

Role Description

The Safety Supervisor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lloydminster, SK or Nisku, AB. This position oversees daily health and safety activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements across all transportation and logistics operations. The Safety Supervisor conducts regular site inspections, hazard assessments, and audits, and leads incident and accident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. The role includes developing and delivering safety training programs, coaching team members, and promoting a strong safety culture among drivers, yard personnel, and office staff. The Safety Supervisor collaborates with operations leadership to review safety performance metrics, update procedures, and continuously improve health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of federal OHS & NSC regulations, and best practices applicable to transportation and oilfield environments.
• Background in safety program development, with the ability to design, implement, and maintain effective safety systems and procedures.
• Proficiency in Accident Investigation, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and development of corrective and preventive actions.
• Relevant certifications such as CRSP, CTSP, or equivalent safety designation, or progress toward such credentials.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, oilfield, or industrial operations is an asset.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proficiency with standard office and safety management software for reporting, tracking, and analyzing safety data.
• Valid driver’s license, on-call availability, and the ability to travel between sites as required.
