Canadian Helicopters is a helicopter transportation service, maintenance support and flight training company. In business since 1947, Canadian Helicopters is Canada's largest helicopter operator with over 20 locations across the country and a fleet of nearly 100 single and multi-engine aircrafts.

Canadian Helicopters has an opening for a Safety & Quality Assurance Inspector position at the Les Cèdres main base. This position reports to Safety & Quality Assurance Manager.

Job Description

• Performance of thorough internal audit ensuring Company compliance with Civil Aviation regulations and standards, as well as Client requirements.
• This position will require some travel, in order to carry out audits, and occasionally represent Safety & Quality Department during external visits/audits.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, innovative and solutions-oriented individual and possess the following minimum qualifications and competencies:

• At least a community college diploma or equivalent.
• Integrity – acting in an impartial and fair manner, free of bias.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in aviation industry.
• Be capable of generating presentable written communications (for internal & external use).
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Sound computer skills, be familiar with the fundamentals of MS Office programs.
• Be capable of fast learning, and having an open mind towards changing industry realities.
• Familiarity with the principles of Safety Management System (SMS) is a welcome asset.
• Sound knowledge of CARs and Company Maintenance Procedures & Policies is a strong asset.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to work efficiently in isolation with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing commitments simultaneously.
