Job Description

As Safety Officer, you will conduct safety investigations related to incidents within your area of responsibility and document these in the safety database, following the Quality Safety Action Program (QSAP). You will operate under the supervision of the Director, Flight Safety.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support and promote the Corporate Quality and Safety Policy within your area;
  • Master the QSMS Policies and Procedures Manual and related processes, especially those relevant to your role;
  • Participate in all Flight Safety Department meetings and the monthly Quality and Safety Management Committee (QSMC) meetings;
  • Receive, analyze, and document safety reports, conduct incident investigations, perform risk assessments, determine root causes, and follow up accordingly;
  • Follow up with employees reporting safety or security incidents, including sharing event analysis results and actions taken;
  • Facilitate communication between the Safety Department and employees in your area;
  • Prepare and distribute safety information bulletins to your team;
  • Assist the Director, Flight Safety, as needed.
Qualifications
  • College or University Diploma or equivalent in a related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in aircraft maintenance;
  • AME licence is an asset;
  • Proficiency in both French and English, oral and written;
  • Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, AIMS, safety database;
  • Autonomous, analytical, and detail-oriented.
Additional Information

*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent must communicate and collaborate frequently in English with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders across Canada and internationally.
