Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience with Health and Safety in the Construction/Manufacturing field preferred.
• Understanding of the Alberta Labour Code and Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Computer competency with MS Office and experience with WCB claims.

• Conducting Employee Site orientations, training & onboarding.
• WCB Claim Management and Emergency response.

Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Administrative oversight, development and implementation of Health and Safety programs
• New Employee Site orientations, training & onboarding
• Engaging with Employees and Management to ensure Awareness and Compliance including running Morning Meetings
• Oversee annual COR program Audits and Development of Corrective action plans
• WCB Claim Management
• PPE Inventory tracking
• Emergency response and First Aid treatment

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience with Health and Safety in the Construction/Manufacturing field preferred
• Occupational Health and Safety Certification an asset
• Understanding of the Alberta Labour Code and Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Computer competency with MS Office and experience with WCB claims
• Professional and Approachable with excellent Communication skills
• Strong Organizational and Multi-tasking abilities
• Strong Interpersonal with the ability to manage Conflict resolution and Personal wellness concerns
• Union experience an asset
• Occupational Health and Safety Certification an asset
• Advanced First Aid Certification an asset
