Job summary

Hall Constructors is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support field crews and supervisors with site health and safety programs. The role focuses on providing safety resources, coaching staff, and ensuring compliance with safety policies on projects in BC.

You will participate in Health and Safety Management systems, conduct site inspections, assist in incident investigations, and help maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in safety roles.
• Education: Highschool.
• NCSO designation preferred but not required.
• Assets: OFA level, BCCSA NCSO courses, Confined Space, Fall Protection.

This position contributes to the overall organization by providing safety support to the projects. This role primarily
interacts with field crews and supervisors with the goal of being a resource in site health and safety. Basic
communication with clients and General Contractors may be required from a field level.

Core Responsibilities:

• Support field operations with safety activities
• Train/coach/mentor staff in policies and procedures outlined by Hall
• Actively participate in the Health and Safety Management systems, and encourage others through leadership
• Assist in audit safety documentation to ensure compliance
• Perform site inspections to ensure compliance
• Assist in injury management
  

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in SiteDocs
• Proficient in English written and spoken
• Participate in hazard identification and control assessments
• Conduct workplace inspections
• Conduct incident investigations
• Documentation implementation
• Documentation auditing
• Able to interpret Acts, Regulations, Codes, Standards
• Hold meetings and safety stand-downs
