Job summary

Linde is seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Manager in British Columbia. This role collaborates with employees and supervisors to identify hazards, ensure compliance, and lead investigations to prevent incidents.

The position requires five to ten years of hands-on OH&S experience, CRSP/CIH certification, bilingual French/English, and strong leadership and training skills. Starting salary is competitive for BC and the industry.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of hands-on experience in industrial occupational health and safety.
• Certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional or as a Certified Industrial Hygienist.
• Bilingual skills in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and training materials software.
• Strong project management abilities to keep initiatives on track.
• Solid knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Canadian standards.
• Excellent training and presentation skills.
• Proven leadership to guide teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with line managers to support safety goals and zero incidents.
• Implement safe and compliant standard work practices with the team.
• Spot safety improvement opportunities and drive implementation.
• Maintain awareness of local safety regulations and policies to stay compliant.
• Train employees and support sites to meet safety requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
• Perform industrial hygiene monitoring and liaise with inspectors as needed.
• Assist during hazardous work situations to keep everyone safe.
• Review and manage Management of Change processes.
• Maintain online third-party safety approvals (ISNetworld, PICS, ComplyWorks).
