As an Environment, Health & Safety Advisor at Finning, you'll be at the forefront of implementing and enhancing our EH&S Management System. You'll collaborate closely with our EH&S Coordinator, Supervisor, and Operational teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure a safe, compliant, and thriving work environment.

Job Description:

  • Coach on trending control health and compliance materials.
  • Develop and share relevant topics for safety meetings.
  • Advise on training, inspections, and safety committee requirements.
  • Attend branch leadership meetings and solve OHS concerns collaboratively.
  • Ensure quality completion of assurance activities like walkthroughs and inspections.
  • Facilitate incident management processes and analyze trends.
  • Advise on required EH&S training and monitor compliance.
  • Travel to support various locations and develop performance reports.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Formal education in occupational health and safety or related field.
  • Proven experience in supporting EH&S management system elements.
  • Familiarity with OH&S legislation and EHS Management Systems (ISO Standards).
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines.

Note:

  • This position is based out of our Syncrude site location in Fort McMurray.
  • Permanent, full-time role.
  • 5x2, Monday- Friday shift.
