Location: Remote (Alberta, CA)

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. At least 4 years of experience in key security functions such as cyber defense operations, security architecture, identity and access management, vulnerability management, or cyber risk management.
3. At least 2 years of experience in cloud security, threat modeling, or detection development.
4. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Certifications like CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or industry equivalents.
2. Experience in domains such as Incident Response, Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Cloud Security, or Enterprise Architecture.
3. Experience implementing industry-leading practices around cyber risks and cloud security frameworks.
4. Knowledge of cloud governance principles and ability to communicate policies effectively.
5. Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients at technical and executive levels.

About the Role

As a Security Consultant, you will assist clients in preparing for, mitigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats. You will leverage your understanding of computer science, operating systems, networking, cloud services, and corporate networks to address security challenges.

Your responsibilities include responding to complex incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, malware triage, testing client networks and applications, and advocating for security best practices. You will lead and support projects, providing guidance on security programs and risk management, and communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
