Job summary

CLR3 in Toronto is seeking a performance-focused systems engineer to write and tune decoders, stream processors and routing logic for real-time Solana data.

You will measure latency, profile with flame graphs and benchmarks, and own regression tests so performance improvements show up in production quickly, even under heavy load. You will work from our Toronto office part of the week.

Qualifications

• Strong Rust or deep systems experience in C/C++ with interest in moving to Rust.
• Experience with concurrent, latency-sensitive or high-throughput systems.
• Comfort with profilers, flame graphs and reading machine-level activity.
• Good instincts for binary formats, serialization, and protocol design.
• Honest engineering habits: benchmarks before claims, tests before refactors.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-throughput decoders and stream processors in Rust.
• Profile and optimise the hot path: allocation, serialization, network and syscall behaviour.
• Keep parsers current as on-chain programs upgrade and layouts change.
• Design schemas and protocols that stay stable while the data underneath moves.
• Build backpressure, replay and recovery mechanics that survive real traffic.
• Own benchmarks and regression tests so performance does not rot quietly.
• Work with infrastructure engineers on placement, networking and capacity.
