Job summary

West Parry Sound Health Centre Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic in Parry Sound is seeking a Resident Physiotherapist/Physiotherapist to join an interprofessional primary care team. The incumbent will provide first point of contact physiotherapy assessment, support patients to increase activity and strength, and develop mobility and falls prevention programming within a collaborative care model.

Regular hours Monday to Friday with additional offsite work as required.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physical Therapy (or equivalent).
• Current license or eligibility for the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
• Experience in primary care, falls prevention, chronic pain management and rural practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides first point of contact physiotherapy assessment for musculoskeletal presentations.
• Supports patients to increase physical activity, strength, balance and function.
• Develops mobility and falls-prevention programming for individuals and groups.
• Participates in regional referral pathways and care models.
