Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Edmonton Corridor Medical Affairs seeks a Coordinator to lead physician workforce planning and recruitment for Rural Communities and AHS Clinical Departments. Reporting to the Manager, Physician Resources, the coordinator liaises with Medical Staff, departments and external stakeholders, applying expertise to staffing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration, Business, Economics, Arts/Sciences, Nursing, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' experience in Physician Services or Health Services.
• Experience with rural Alberta care delivery, recruitment and retention strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analysis, and facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of program planning, project management, and policy understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning and recruitment for rural communities and clinical departments.
• Serve as liaison among Medical Staff, departments, and external stakeholders.
• Apply policy and strategic thinking to staffing decisions and initiatives.
• Manage small projects with objectives, scope, resources, timelines and outcomes.
• Communicate portfolio updates through briefing notes, correspondence, and meetings.
