Job summary

Grand River Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist (Non union) for WRHN Midtown & Chicopee in Kitchener. This part-time position involves screening and diagnostic mammography, participation in interventional procedures, and rotation across KW and Freeport radiography sites.

The successful candidate will be registered with Ontario's CMRIT, pursue CBID certification, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork in a busy environment.

Position: Mammography Technologist (Non union) Location: WRHN @ Midtown & Chicopee

Position Summary: As a WRHN employee, the Technologist embraces, promotes and models the mission, vision and values of the Grand River Hospital Corporation through excellence in team building, a focus on quality of care, safety and effective communication.


Position Requirements:



  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms utilizing workup and evaluation skills in an environment with high exam through put.

  • Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

  • Perform and assist with all mammographic interventional procedures.

  • Perform navigator duties for a Regional Breast Assessment Clinic.

  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills. Participates in team building environment.

  • The successful candidate will commit to working towards the completion of the CAMRT Certificate in Breast Imaging – Diagnostic (CBID).

  • Rotation through general radiography at KW site and Freeport site required.

  • Demonstrate excellence in interpersonal and communication skills in a challenging environment

  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists (Ontario).

  • Membership in the C.A.M.R.T. is preferred but not required.

  • Completed or enrolled in Breast Imaging 1 & 2 an asset.

  • Completed or enrolled in Imaging Breast Pathology (IBP) an asset.

  • Completed or enrolled in the Certificate in Breast Imaging – Diagnostic (CBID) an asset.

  • Demonstrated continuing education.
