Job summary

Elte Carpets Limited is seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist to join its Clinical Services team, located in Moose Factory, Ontario. This term position, reporting to the Director of Clinical Resources, requires expertise in imaging and patient care, with a commitment to continuous education.

Qualifications

• All proper training pertaining to Medical Radiation Technology is required.
• Experience in ultrasound and/or CT is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine imaging and CT acquisition.
• Provide optimal patient care and conduct radiographic assessments.
• Support the Charge MRT when necessary.

Who You Are

• Must have extensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, radiographic positioning and assessment
• Knowledge of computers, software and scanners
• Experience with radiographic equipment, use and protection
• All proper training pertaining to Medical Radiation Technology
• Flexible with patient care and workload

What You’ll Do

• Routine imaging and CT acquisition
• Holter monitor recordings
• Provide optimal patient care
• PACS post processing
• PACS support
• Radiographic assessment/quality assurance
• Radiation Protection
• Support the Charge MRT when necessary

What You Bring

• Experience in ultrasound and/ or CT are an asset
• Graduated from a recognized college/university program in Medical Radiation Technology possessing either a Degree in Medical Radiation Technology or an Advanced Diploma.
• Continuing education annually as required by the CMRITO
• Member of the CMRTO and OAMRS/CAMRT is required
• Mammography Training is an asset
• Previous experience as a technologist in a hospital setting
• English is essential for this position
• Ability to communicate in the local native Cree language is an asset
