Job summary

Source Code is seeking a Senior Information Architect for an onsite role in Ontario. You will provide information architecture interpretation and guidance to project teams, lead architecture initiatives, and collaborate with I&T on enterprise-level projects.

Responsibilities include leveraging CASE tools (PowerDesigner, Visio), AI-driven data analysis, and cloud-native architectures (Azure, RESTful APIs). You will support governance deliverables and TSA/OPS processes for large-scale systems.

Qualifications

• Must have IA interpretation and guidance to project teams.
• Experience in business architecture across domains, goals, processes, information, roles.
• Experience with CASE tools (PowerDesigner, Visio) and AI data analysis tools.
• Experience with Public Sector enterprise architecture governance, committees and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of application architectures at senior level.
• Facilitate multi-stakeholder engagements on IA, security, privacy, and accessibility.
• Provide IA, data modelling, and BI analytics expertise for large systems.
• Utilize cloud native tech (Azure App Services, RESTful APIs) and modern architecture practices.
• Engage in TSA/OPS governance and deliver architecture artifacts.
• Stay aware of emerging technologies and industry trends.

Duration: 1 Year (257 Business Days)

Must have

• Demonstrated experience in providing information architecture interpretation advice and expertise to other project and/or enterprise level I&IT project teams.
• Demonstrated experience in providing business architecture advice, focusing on specific business domains, business goals, processes, information, roles, responsibilities, locations, events and alignment with business strategy.
• Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (Case) tools (i.e. PowerDesigner, Visio) and other software tools
• Experience in using AI for data analysis which blends traditional strengths with new AI-centric abilities
• Experience with Public Sector enterprise architecture governance, committees and processes

Skill Set Requirements:

• Leadership experience in the development and implementation of application architectures at the specified experience level.
• Facilitation skills to engage multiple stakeholders involving I&IT solutions, security, privacy, and accessibility considerations
• Solid experience and knowledge of Information Architecture, Data Modelling, BI Analytics
• Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (Case) tools (i.e. PowerDesigner, Visio) and other software tools
• Experience in using AI for data analysis which blends traditional strengths and new AI-centric abilities:

• Prompt Engineering: Communicating effectively with AI tools to get desired analysis and insights.
• Machine Learning Literacy: Understanding how ML models work (prediction, pattern recognition) and when to apply them.
• Automation Mastery: Using AI to automate data collection, cleaning (ETL), and workflow building.
• Generative AI for Analytics: Using AI to speed up tasks like summarization or initial data exploration.

• Solid experience and knowledge of cloud native technology and architecture to support applications with high sensitive data such as Azure App Services and RESTful API
• Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of applications
• Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large systems environments
• Awareness of emerging technologies, trends and direction
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skill
• Experience in OPS Governance processes, Target State Architecture (TSA) and different architecture domains deliverables
