Job summary

Amyantek is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to support the Patients Before Paperwork (Pb4P) initiative. The role focuses on reducing administrative burden for Primary Care Providers in Ontario through improved digital tools and processes.

You will lead UX/CX research across multiple workstreams, collaborate with product, clinical, and vendor partners, and ensure accessibility standards are met in deliverables.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of end-to-end UX/CX research experience.
• 7+ years of inclusive UX/UI and Service Design for complex digital products.
• 5+ years cross-functional delivery in a regulated environment.
• Experience with research planning, recruitment, interviews, usability testing, surveys and synthesis.
• Translate research into user flows, journey maps, IA, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs.
• Strong accessibility experience (AODA, WCAG 2.1 Level AA).

Responsibilities

Duration: 2026-10-19 - 2027-03-31 (142 business days, with an option to extend up to an additional 254 days)

Ontario Health is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to support the Patients Before Paperwork (Pb4P) initiative. The initiative is focused on reducing administrative burden for Primary Care Providers in Ontario through improved digital tools and processes, including reducing reliance on fax, paper and manual workflows. The resource will support CX/UX activities across multiple Pb4P workstreams and collaborate with business, clinical, product, technical, change and vendor partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute UX/CX research plans, including research objectives, methods, participant criteria, screeners, scheduling, discussion guides, consent/privacy considerations and honorarium management.
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, surveys and secondary research.
• Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable insights, themes, pain points, risks and opportunities.
• Create personas, journey maps, service blueprints, ecosystem maps and current/future-state user flows.
• Translate research findings and requirements into information architecture, task flows, wireframes, clickable prototypes, UI copy and high‑fidelity mockups.
• Facilitate remote workshops and collaborate with product, business, clinical, technical, vendor, change and communications stakeholders.
• Conduct usability and accessibility reviews and ensure solutions align with AODA and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
• Contribute to UX/UI guidelines, reusable components, pattern libraries and design systems using Figma, Adobe XD or equivalent tools.
• Review product/vendor deliverables, document decisions and provide weekly status reporting on progress, risks and dependencies.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of demonstrated end-to-end UX/CX research experience.
• 7+ years of demonstrated UX/UI and Service Design experience.
• 5+ years of experience delivering work cross-functionally in complex or regulated environments.
• Expertise in research planning, participant recruitment, usability testing, heuristic evaluation and research synthesis.
• Hands‑on experience creating user flows, journey maps, service blueprints, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes and high‑fidelity designs.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AODA and WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards.
• Experience with Figma, Adobe XD or equivalent design/prototyping tools.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity and balance multiple priorities, risks and dependencies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering complex digital health, public‑sector or other highly regulated transformation initiatives.
• Experience with healthcare provider workflows, clinical environments or digital health products.
• CX/UX, Service Design or Human‑Centred Design certification/training.
• Experience with Voice of Customer programs and collaboration tools such as Miro, Mural or FigJam.
• Experience working with design systems, UI pattern libraries and content standards.
