Job summary

Source Code seeks a Sr. Business Analyst to support the Mental Health & Addiction team on the Provincial Data Set (PDS) product. The role focuses on delivering complex requirements for FHIR-based data and analytics in a cloud Azure environment.

Holds 7+ years in healthcare, FHIR/HL7, and ETL; leads JAD sessions, collaborates with COE, privacy, security, and offshore teams to ensure timely delivery and quality data. Hybrid work with 3 days in the office at 525 University Avenue, Toronto.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in Health Care domain (Mental Health preferred).
• 7+ years experience with FHIR/HL7 standards.
• 7+ years experience with ETL and databases.
• Experience leading JAD sessions and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide I&T business analysis for FHIR, backend SQL and diverse needs.
• Understand SDLC processes and ETL requirements.

The purpose of this request is to support Business Analysis work for the Mental Health & Addiction (MHA) team . The MHA Data and Digital Initiative team support the data collection in our Provincial Data Set (PDS) product and partner with Mental Health & Addictions Centre Of Excellence to improve data-driven decision-making. This work is done in support of Ontario's Roadmap to Wellness: a plan to build Ontarios mental health and addictions system, focusing on improving quality and driving quality through data and digital. A Sr. Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering and managing complex requirements related our MHA digital products. Our PDS Solution is a Health Level 7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) that uses Smile CDR solution. We are using Cloud Azure, and we transfer data into our Analytics Data Hub for analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services with complex FHIR, backend SQL and diverse business, reporting and technological needs.
• Understanding of SDLC processes and ETL
• Leads and conducts business analysis on technical needs in such a way that I&IT solutions can be determined
• Develops sound processes for requirements gathering including but not limited to Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, interviews, data analysis.
• Conducts business modeling; use case modeling; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects
• Awareness of emerging I&IT trends and technologies including Azure Cloud and Smile Clinical Data Repository (CDR) solution for FHIR messages
• Create and maintain detailed requirements, prioritizing parallel requirements items in accordance to the program goals and product needs.
• Collaborate and foster various relationship with MHA team, COE partners, clients and cross-functional technical team and vendors such as privacy, security, architecture and off-shore engineering team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of all requirements
• Ability to analyze data and complex problems and contribute to finding solutions.
• Analyze data and data quality to better understand all the data need, issues, and opportunities for improvements
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with MHA team, partners, clients, and leadership teams to ensure successful product launch and product updates as required. Ensure successful change management process.
• Ability to translate business and data requirements into specifications sufficient for designing appropriate technology solutions
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
• A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines

Must Haves:

• 7+ years experience with Health Care experience (Mental Health preferred)

• 7+ years experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL)/Database
• 7+ years of experience developing sound processes for requirements gathering including but not limited to Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, interviews, data analysis.
