Cambridge Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join the Medicine Team. The role involves delivering patient-centered nursing care, assessing patients, monitoring status, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate has an Ontario RPN diploma, current CNO registration, and CPR certification, with at least one year of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate of Registration in good standing, required
• RPN Diploma or equivalent required
• Current CPR certificate required
• Medication administration course required
• Excellent physical assessment skills required
• Minimum of one year recent medical experience within a hospital setting, required

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as part of the Medicine Team, including assessments and monitoring.
• Document changes and interdisciplinary reporting.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient education for patients and families.
• Utilize Three Factor Framework to manage the scope of practice for patient care.
• Support discharge planning and use of community resources when appropriate.
