Job summary

Central Pharmacy Services, a division of Loblaw/Shoppers Drug Mart, is seeking a Full‑time Pharmacy Technician to support the central fill network in Calgary. The role focuses on accurate medication preparation, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow to enable patient care at Shoppers Drug Mart locations.

The ideal candidate holds RPhT licensure with at least 1 year in a pharmacy setting, preferably in high-volume environments.

Qualifications

• Licensed and registered as an RPhT with the College of Pharmacists.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail).
• Experience in high-volume filling environments preferred.
• Experience with PacMed or PacVision is an asset.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail; ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of prepared medication by checking prescriptions, compliance packages, and all products.
• Make appropriate corrections when identified.
• Accurately count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications.
• Check products in an organized and efficient manner to maintain workflow and ensure delivery times.
• Keep current with legal requirements, standards, and workplace policies.
• Promote inclusiveness and belonging in the workplace.
