Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) to join Central Pharmacy Services in Calgary. You will ensure accurate medication preparation, maintain strict compliance, and support a high-volume workflow in a modern, high-tech setting.

The role requires 1 year of pharmacy experience, bilingual abilities are a plus, and you will work within a team focused on patient safety and efficient prescription processing. Full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail).
• Experience with high-volume filling environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of prepared medication by checking each prescription and ensuring legal compliance and product quality.
• Accurately count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications.
• Check products in an organized and efficient manner to maintain workflow and ensure delivery routes leave on schedule.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with regulations.
• Keep current with and align with legal requirements, professional standards, and workplace policies.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for ensuring accuracy of prepared medication by checking each prescription and ensuring legal compliance and product quality. This includes weekly strip packaged medications, compliance packages and all non-packaged products
• Responsible for ensuring appropriate corrections are completed when identified
• Accurately count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications
• Responsible for checking products in an organized and efficient manner to maintain workflow and ensure delivery routes leave at their scheduled timesPatient privacy and confidentiality is protected in accordance with regulations
• Keep current with and align with legal requirements, professional standards, and where provided, workplace policies and procedures
• Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

What You Bring

• Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT), in good standing
• Liability insurance to legally practice as a RPhT
• A minimum of 1 year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail)
• Experience with high volume filling environments is preferred
• Experience working with PacMed or PacVision is an asset
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
