Job summary

Rentokil Terminix is hiring a Pest Control Technician based in Surrey, BC. The role involves inspecting properties, applying treatments, and advising clients on prevention. You’ll operate the company truck and document work after each visit, building strong customer relationships.

Requirements include a full driver’s license, 1–2 years of route-based experience, and the ability to obtain provincial licensing with support. Monday–Friday with some weekend/on-call shifts and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Valid FULL driver’s license and ability to pass a MVR check.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of customer facing and/or route based experience.
• Must pass a pre-employment background screen.
• Willing to obtain and maintain Structural Exterminator Licensing with manager assistance.
• Available to work Monday to Friday with some weekends or on call shifts when needed.
• Ability to work independently throughout daily tasks after training.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service and time management skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the interior and exterior of properties on a recurring schedule to identify infestation source, extent of damage, and access to infested locations.
• Preparing and applying product on infested areas using mechanical or electric sprayer and setting traps as per regulatory guidelines.
• Offering recommendations to clients on preventing pest infestation.
• Operate company truck and maintain service equipment.
• Build customer relationships through friendly, helpful, and courteous behavior during service visits.
• Identify and engage customers of additional service offerings that will provide value to the customer.
• Studying preliminary reports of infested areas and determining the treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
• Ensuring all work is documented and submitted electronically after each visit.
• Performing other duties as required.
