Job summary

WolfTrek Corp in Fort McMurray is hiring a Rough Terrain Forklift Operator for a temporary contract from September 3rd to September 13th. The role involves loading/unloading with a Rough Terrain forklift, with 12-hour shifts and overtime after 8 hours per day or 44 hours weekly.

Training and orientation will be paid, and camp accommodations are provided along with flights to Fort McMurray from Edmonton or Calgary.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Rough Terrain forklift on industrial sites.
• Minimum 2+ years forklift experience in industrial plant environments.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physical tasks.
• Reliable with strong work ethic and ability to follow training and safety procedures.
• Strong reading/listening skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Rough Terrain forklift to load/unload materials safely.
• Assist with general labour tasks as needed.
• Maintain safe and efficient workflow on site.
• Collaborate with team and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to site safety protocols and complete pre-job training.

Rough Terrain Forklift Operator (Fort McMurray)

Forklift Operator (Rough Terrain) WolfTrek is an Indigenous Owned Staffing company based in Western Canada. We are currently hiring experienced Forklift Operators for various Industrial project sites located near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a temporary contract position from September 3rd to September 13th, 12-hours per shifts with overtime after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week. Hours for completing online training and orientation will be paid. Camp accommodations are provided, with flights to Fort McMurray from Edmonton or Calgary.

Job Duties

• Loading and unloading various materials with a Rough Terrain Forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Assist with general labour duties as required.
• Team players who have positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

• 2+ years operating a forklift within an industrial plant site.
• 1+ years experience working on a heavy industrial site.
• Able to lift over 50 lbs.
• Reliable and strong work ethic
• Able to follow instructions and be able to complete pre job training.
• Effective reading and listening skills.
• Strong team player, able to work well with others.
• Previous Industrial or plant site experience is required.

Other requirements:

• Must have up to date H2S Alive, WHMIS, CSO, CSTS, and valid Forklift Certificate.
• This is a safety sensitive position so the successful candidate must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Must have the following PPE: FR (fire retardant) Coveralls, Steel Toed Footwear (CSA), Hard Hat, Safety Glasses (CSA) and Work Gloves.
