Jardeg is recruiting Rope Access Technicians with IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3, for future opportunities in various locations within Alberta. For sites located North of Fort McMurray, charter travel is provided, whereas sites close to municipal areas can be drive-in/drive out. Some sites offer living out allowance and during turnaround season may include travel allowance, daily overtime and retention bonuses. Rope Access Technicians are used in a wide range of repair, maintenance, inspection and access work. Rope access methodology boasts an unrivalled safety record, short set-up and dismantling time, positive environmental benefits and removes the need for invasive access equipment or disruption to a worksite.

Responsibilities:

• Proficiency in rope access techniques and equipment
• Solid technical skills as a Rope Access Technician is ideal.
• Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on structures and equipment at heights using rope access techniques.
• Conduct rigging and rope systems for safe access and egress
• Utilize hand tools, power tools and heavy equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
• IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification is required.
• Satisfactory Completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
• Standard First Aid (Level C or A)
• ESC Common Safety Orientation
• ESC Confined Space & Monitor
• Basic Rigging (In person) through approved vendor.
• Valid Driver’s License
