Job summary

Anchorpoint Solutions Inc. is seeking certified SPRAT and IRATA Rope Access Technicians at Levels 1, 2 and 3 for part-time, casual/on-call assignments across the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario.

Technicians support inspection, installation, and maintenance on buildings, bridges, industrial facilities and other complex structures. Assignments are aligned with certification level, logged experience and on-site safety procedures; travel to project locations throughout Ontario is required and

Qualifications

  • Current SPRAT or IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 certification.
  • Verifiable rope access logbook or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work under Rope Access Supervisor direction.
  • Physically capable of working suspended at height.

Responsibilities

  • Use industrial rope access systems per Anchorpoint procedures.
  • Work under the direction of the Level 3 Rope Access Supervisor.
  • Participate in job hazard assessments and toolbox talks.
  • Inspect personal rope access equipment before use.
  • Assist with rigging within certification level and training.
  • Maintain independent rope systems and attachments.
  • Prevent rope and equipment damage from hazards.
  • Secure tools and equipment at height.
  • Maintain exclusion zones and dropped-object controls.
  • Perform inspection, installation, or maintenance tasks as qualified.
  • Communicate effectively with the Supervisor and team.
  • Follow rescue plans and maintain readiness.
  • Participate in rope access rescues as trained.
  • Maintain accurate logbook entries and project documentation.

Job description

Anchorpoint Solutions Inc. is seeking currently certified SPRAT and IRATA Rope Access Technicians at Levels 1, 2 and 3 for part-time, casual/on-call assignments throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario. Our technicians support inspection, installation, construction, maintenance and specialized access projects on buildings, bridges, industrial facilities and other complex structures. Technicians are assigned according to their certification level, logged experience, demonstrated rope access competence and qualifications for the work being performed.

Responsibilities
  • Use industrial rope access systems in accordance with Anchorpoint procedures and SPRAT Safe Practices for Rope Access Work
  • Work under the direction of the assigned Level 3 Rope Access Supervisor
  • Participate in job hazard assessments, toolbox talks and pre-use system checks
  • Inspect personal rope access equipment before use
  • Assist with or perform rigging within the technician’s certification level, training and authorization
  • Maintain the required independent rope systems and points of attachment
  • Protect ropes and equipment from sharp edges, heat, chemicals, moving equipment and other hazards
  • Secure tools, materials and equipment while working at height
  • Establish and maintain exclusion zones and dropped-object controls
  • Perform inspection, installation, cleaning, maintenance or construction tasks for which the technician is qualified
  • Maintain effective communication with the Rope Access Supervisor and other team members
  • Follow the site‑specific rescue plan and maintain rescue readiness
  • Participate in rope access rescues within the technician’s training and assigned role
  • Stop work and report unsafe conditions, system changes or equipment deficiencies
  • Maintain accurate personal logbook entries
  • Complete required equipment, safety and project documentation
  • Properly care for company, client and personal equipment
  • Assist with loading, unloading, setup, breakdown and storage of project equipment
  • Represent Anchorpoint and its clients professionally while on site
Qualifications
  • Current SPRAT or IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 certification
  • Current and verifiable rope access logbook or experience record
  • Practical competence appropriate to the applicant’s certification level
  • Ability and willingness to work under the direction of the assigned Rope Access Supervisor
  • Able to safely perform physically demanding work while suspended at height
  • Strong situational awareness and commitment to dropped-object prevention
  • Clear communication and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
  • Willing and able to travel to project locations throughout Ontario
  • Available for project‑based work that may include days, nights, weekends and extended shifts
  • Able to work outdoors and in industrial, construction, confined‑space and work‑at‑height environments
  • Willing to complete Anchorpoint orientation and practical competency verification
  • Ontario‑approved Working at Heights training is preferred
  • Current First Aid and CPR, WHMIS and Worker Health and Safety Awareness in Four Steps are preferred
  • Confined‑space entry, confined‑space rescue or high‑angle rescue training is an asset
  • Industrial, structural, bridge or building‑maintenance experience is an asset
  • NDT, inspection, electrical, mechanical, welding, millwright, glazing, concrete repair, coating, signage or other skilled‑trade experience is an asset
  • Experience with drilling, anchoring, installation or structural‑access work is an asset
  • A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred
