Position: Rope Access Pipefitter Journeypersons - IOL Kearl Turnaround

Jardeg seeks Rope Access Technicians with a Pipefitter Journeyperson ticket for the Heartland Constructors team at the IOL Kearl Spring Turnaround, running from May 5 to 30. The role involves 12-hour shifts on a 24/4 rotation, with daily overtime after 8 hours or 40 hours/week. IRATA Level 1, 2, or 3 certifications are accepted.

Rope access technicians perform repair, maintenance, inspection, and access work at heights, utilizing a methodology known for its safety, efficiency, and environmental benefits, eliminating the need for invasive access equipment.

Responsibilities
  1. Proficiency in rope access techniques and equipment
  2. Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs at heights
  3. Rigging and rope systems setup for safe access
  4. Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
  5. Follow safety protocols
  6. Effective communication with team and supervisors
  7. Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
Minimum Requirements
  1. IRATA Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification
  2. Pipefitter Journeyperson Ticket
  3. Satisfactory Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
  4. Standard First Aid (Level C or A)
  5. ESC Common Safety Orientation
  6. ESC Wood Buffalo / Wildlife Awareness
  7. ESC Confined Space & Monitor
  8. Basic Rigging
  9. Valid Driver’s License
