Position: Room Attendant

Responsible for performing general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned, while meeting or exceeding Sunrise's quality standards.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain the commercial laundry in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.
2. Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry.
3. Sort, wash, and dry linens following approved laundry procedures.
4. Collect and remove trash, maintaining receptacles and collection areas in a clean, sanitary manner.
5. Assist Care Givers and Department Leaders with resident care when requested.

Qualifications

1. Desire to work with seniors.
2. High School diploma / GED preferred.
3. Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment.
4. Ability to handle multiple priorities.
5. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
6. Good organizational, time management, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Ability to work semi-independently following community procedures and guidelines, demonstrating initiative.
