Position Overview

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for all housekeeping tasks assigned in the hotel and promotes a positive image of the hotel to guests and fellow employees. The role requires being pleasant, friendly, and courteous, and able to address problems and/or special requests as they arise. The Housekeeping Attendant cleans and maintains the appearance of the hotel guestrooms, public areas, restrooms, employee areas, administrative offices, and other assigned areas while following safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to meet the hotel’s standards of quality.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or work-related equivalent
• Previous hotel cleaning experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Previous hotel cleaning experience preferred
• WHMIS and Biohazard cleanup experience is an asset
• Ability to work and thrive in a team-oriented environment, and work independently
• Ability to take responsibility for actions and pay attention to detail

May require lifting weights of up to approximately 50 lbs.
