Job summary

Roofmart is seeking an energetic Rooftop loader/shipper and receiver to safely load bundles of shingles and related products for roof installations. You will work closely with the driver to ensure safe and efficient delivery, handle material by hand and with equipment, and manage shipping/receiving of inventory.

The role requires physical strength, stamina, and a commitment to safety. Prior warehouse experience and a forklift license are assets; candidates authorized to work in Canada are

Qualifications

• Requires physical strength/stamina and the ability to work at heights.
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights training - an asset (can be provided)
• Valid Forklift License - an asset (transfer can be provided)
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly
• Strong customer service skills
• Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience - Preferred
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset
• Authorized to work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Loading rooftops with bundles of shingles and related products
• Working closely and co-operatively with driver to ensure safe and efficient delivery of product
• Handling material by hand and with use of appropriate equipment
• Safely loading, unloading, moving, shipping and receiving product and inventory
• Ensuring orders are picked correctly, tagged and double checked
• Maintaining clean and organized work environments in the store and yard
• Strictly adhering to and complying with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation
• Other duties as required
