Job summary

T. Hamilton and Son Roofing Inc. based in Scarborough, Ontario, is seeking a Roofing Labourer (NOC 75110) to join its team.

The successful candidate will assist skilled roofers and perform labouring tasks on construction sites, with 30–44 hours weekly at a wage of $28.50 per hour. We are a third-generation family-owned roofing contractor with 100+ years of combined experience, delivering residential, commercial and industrial roofing services since 1977.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a general construction labourer is required.
• Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades required at construction sites.
• Assist roofers in construction activities.
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure attachments and guide equipment movement.
• Assist in demolishing roofs and sorting salvaged materials.
• Remove rubble and debris at construction sites.
• Clean up materials at construction sites.
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

We are currently looking for a Roofing Labourer to join our team based out of Scarborough Ontario. Our Roofing Labourers assist skilled roofers and perform labouring activities at construction sites.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas;
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades required at construction sites;
• Assist roofers in construction activities;
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities;
• Assist in demolishing roofs using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials;
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites;
• Clean up materials in construction sites;
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites;
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
