Job summary

Flynn Group of Companies in Halifax is seeking a Roofer to install, repair, or replace four- and/or single-ply commercial roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials on industrial, institutional and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities include installing or replacing TPO, EPDM, and PVC roofing systems, installing vapor barriers or insulation on flat roofs, and sealing seams; also cutting roofing paper to size and fastening to form bases for other materials.

Summary

Install, repair, or replace four and/or single-ply commercial roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic composition on various sectors including but not limited to industrial, institutional and commercial buildings

Daily responsibilities

• Install or replace a variety of commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, and PVC
• Install vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs and seal the seams
• Cut roofing paper to size using knives; and nail or staple roofing paper to roofs in overlapping strips to form bases for other materials

Benefits according to the Union collective bargaining agreement

$31.07 - $31.07 an hour
