Job summary

KAHLON ROOFING LTD in Canada is hiring for an on-site roofing worker with 1–2 years of experience to install built-up roofing systems, shingles, and metal roofs on sloped buildings.

You will read blueprints, prepare substrates, repair roofing, and erect scaffolding as needed. This role requires hands-on carpentry, physical stamina, and commitment to safety during on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in roofing preferred.
• On-site work at the physical location.

Responsibilities

• Install built-up roofing systems using asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt and gravel
• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes and roofing tiles on sloped roofs
• Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
• Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs
• Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
• Repair roofing systems
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
• Install sheet metal flashings
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
