Job description

We are recruiting a Rock Truck Operator to join our team. A Rock Truck Operator is tasked with operating Rock Truck to transport rock, gravel, or other materials during construction projects. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with construction teams, with a focus on adhering to project specifications and safety regulations. The role requires a good understanding of construction operations, physical stamina, and the ability to interpret site plans.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Rock Truck in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform daily inspections of equipment prior to operation
  • Abide by all safety standards and codes
  • Follow directions that are spoken or delivered by hand signals of ground crew members
  • Perform other related tasks as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of Rock Truck experience
  • Operate and maneuver heavy-duty rock truck in a safe and efficient manner
  • Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving the truck
  • Experience with GPS systems is an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Knowledge of construction methods, road construction materials, heavy equipment operation, and industry requirements
  • Able to operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Must be fit-for-duty
  • Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada
  • Must pass pre-employment alcohol and drug test including cannabis
