Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Robotics & Orbital Weld Specialist to support welding development within the Nuclear sector at the COE. The role requires hands-on welding expertise, reading blueprints, and a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in robotic welding and be ready to contribute to the Darlington/Bruce projects while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in Cambridge, ON.

Qualifications

• Two years welding experience in industrial settings.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong safety culture and willingness to mentor others.
• Experience with robotic or mechanized welding is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead welding development initiatives in the Aecon Centre of Excellence shop.
• Assist engineers in developing, troubleshooting, and testing welding processes.
• Perform welding activities using manual, mechanized, and robotic solutions.
• Apply knowledge of mechanized orbital and robotic welding to projects.
