Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a Robotics Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team developing Linamar Robotics products, prototypes, and proof-of-concept solutions. You will guide mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and systems engineering from concept to deployment, ensuring safety and alignment with the product roadmap.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with management, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers, and coaching engineers and co-op students

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in robotics, automation, mechatronics, or related engineering fields.
• Experience leading development of complex electromechanical/robotic or industrial automation systems.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering activities across mechanical, electrical, controls, software and systems.
• Experience taking products/prototypes from concept through testing, validation and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of robotics prototypes, proof-of-concept systems, and products from concept through deployment.
• Translate product requirements into engineering plans, technical requirements, and development deliverables.
• Coordinate and guide mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and systems engineering activities across the product lifecycle.
• Drive technical execution, issue resolution, and trade-off decisions for successful delivery.
• Review designs to ensure quality, reliability, performance, safety, and manufacturability.
